Why am I not recieving a cable signal from the coaxial cord?

While watching my p42 plasma tv (no cable box) I seleted reset in the settings menu by mistake and now my channels have disappeared. Ive already tried to re-scan the channels again.

Answer:
make sure that when you scan you use "cable" and not "antenna" mode.
Make sure the TV is set to cable
Do you have 2 separate cable inputs, like ANT 1 & ANT 2?
Check the back of your set & if this is the case be sure the cable goes into ANT 1 & re-do your channel memory scan.
