Are some free-view boxes better than others?

I'm just roughly to go buy a free-view/ digi-box (is within any difference?) and don't really want to get one that provides a flickery picture that freezes or any of that flattery. Are some of these things better than others? Are they all one and the same? I read something about some have a built in amplifier to boost the signal since running it into the TV. Is that right?

Anyway, basic info on the best free-view box to win would be great. Oh, and where to find it.

Cheers everyone.

Richard

Answers:    The word "Digibox" (with a capital D) refers to Sky satellite boxes. But not everyone complies near this terminology.

There are adjectives kinds of differences between Freeview boxes. Different features and different sensitivity of the tuner.
Among the features: whether or not in attendance is a UHF modulator (you will need one if you own an old TV next to no Scart socket). One or two Scart connectors (useful if you want to daisy-chain with a VCR, DVD or other external box).

I used to own a Sagem IDT66. This had two scart connectors, which I connected with the DVD and next through to my satellite box (non-Sky). It also had a connector to read memory cards from digital cameras - adjectives sometimes. The tuner was exceedingly sensitive and would work with a crappy indoor mast. It also had a UHF modulator (which I don't need).
I very soon use a Neotion box with a connector for a unyielding disc. This also has two Scart connectors. More importantly, it have a connector for an external hard disc. This is greatly useful - I use it adjectives the time to record programmes. But the tuner is much smaller quantity sensitive - I have to be outstandingly careful where on earth I place my aerial for it to work.
If you hold a good outside satellite dish (I live in a flat and the outside transmitter was removed and replaced by cable, so I hold to use an indoor aerial if I want to acquire freeview without paying for cable) after tuner sensitivity is not an issue.
Oh, and some freeview boxes have twin tuners - adjectives if you want to record one digital drain and wathc another. If you never record TV, afterwards this is not an issue.
There are a couple of other differences, like interactive features, but I don't protection much about those so I haven't really looked into it.
