Answers:    YOUR US TV won't work properly in Brazil because thery use a different TV standard. If you want to use it, you'll hold to buy a converter between their standards and ours.
Strange, most modern TVs automatically identify and decode the most adjectives standards such as NTSC (North America), PAL-M (Europe / South America) and PAL-N (Asia). I'm afraid you'll have to check the user brochure and look for something about codification and how to select between these formats.
