Insignia TV, VGA help?

when i hook my PC up to my TV the windows XP logo shows, while its loading, but then when it should show my desktop the screen flickers and goes back to the blue screen.I have my PC set to what it says it should be in the book, resolution 1024x768 and refresh rate 60mhz. Any one have any ideas?

Answer:
Try 800x600...The Windows XP logo is set to that rate, then during the FINAL load it switches to your 1024x768 mode.

Keep it set to 60Hz for now..
