This LCD TV is perfect. I disagree with the previous statements. I quality that as long as this person is throwing name out there you should put Sharp surrounded by to. Really the thing is that HD tv's really don't have need of comb filters they use a different technology for High Definition. If you are looking for wear and slit it will be Sharp and Sony. All the televisions out near that have brand name and are sold at Best Buy, Circuity City, Fry's and elsewhere, i.e., Costco, Target Walmart are good television.
It's good, but ask your salesperson if he wouldn't mind if you throw a DVD player onto it, if it's already not. The comb filter on the LG's suck, so if it's hooked up via composite or coax, the color red is gonna look god-awful. It's in truth not as bad as it looks, so long as you're running component/hdmi/etc. you'll consideration a difference between coax and everything else.
In terms of definition, it's nowhere as in the vicinity as sharp as Samsung or Sony, but it's otherwise a great set. LG makes a reliable product, and at a price that won't put you surrounded by the dog house like some of the other brands.
If you're right around the $1000 price array, consider jumping down to a 32 and getting the samsung 3252. It looks great thaw and cool, you're only really losing 2.5 inches on respectively corner, and it filters out disturbance brilliantly.
