Need help with TV?

i am having trouble getting my computer hooked up with a tv.
I know my card supports it its a geforce 5500, i have a EMERSON tv with to svideo ins.

when i switch threw video modes on tv i get hdmi is that the channel that its supposed to be in?

you have to have your computer drive the other output, the default is not to. See if you have a hot key or look deep into your graphics card properties to turn on 2nd display.

Make sure your TV is on correct input.
no your tv should be in s-video mode, HDMI is completely different. Make sure your computer is set to output video through the s-video first.
