Digital TV?
Answers: If your TVs are different HDTVs, and have coaxial inputs, next they probably have built-in ATSC tuners which can receive over the upper air Digital TV, including HDTV. However, digital TV reception requires a relatively good signal to work. If your analog TV reception is poor, you probably can't go and get digital TV unless you upgrade your antenna.
The digital converter boxes you ask about are for converting over the atmosphere digital TV to analog TV. These boxes would be of no use to you for two reasons. First, lacking a good antenna, they won't work. Second, if you own an HDTV that can display over the air HDTV, why would you want to convert the signal to analog TV?

Digital TV is a approach of squeezing more out of the same. The picture is commonly inferior to analogue, especially on LCD TVs due to the smearing effect.
The original signal is compressed to MPEG standards and loses ability as a result, just as CDs do.

Teletext is better, but I buy a TV to study pictures, not to read.
