I own a HDTV Its roughly 3 years behind the times and I own a 360 but whenever I Try to hook it up to HD it Doesnt work why

Ok Its a Toshiba TV about 3 years old-fashioned and whenever i Hook Up My 360 To the HD Composite Input it doesnt work. whenever i go beneath Color Stream Input it is Just a lot of Green and Red Lines and it doesnt show my 360

Answers:    here is a switch on the cords of the 360 that you have to loose change to hdtd. just shifting that will out put 480p. your tv may not accept that. you also own to go into the dashboard to the system menu later display menu to change the output settings to hdtv. later output 720p or 1080i . you tv may only display 1080i. so try adjectives these things. if your tv still doesnt display it. it is probably your tv. try hookin up somthing else hd like a progressive scan dvd set to 480p or an upconverting dvd set to 720p or 1080i. to see if any of them work. if none work later its def. your tv. good luck
do u own it on the hdtv setting on the cable that connects to the xbox?
