std hrc and irc. what do these mean? I guess std means standard. and hrc means high resolution. but im not sure cause when i switch from std to hrc the picture does seem alittel bit better. i also tried the irc whatever that means and that seemed to have a better picture than std but equal to hrc. so i want to know which will give me the best picture quality cause im still not sure which one is the best thanks for ur answers! :)

I would leave it in std. I don't think anyone uses the HRC (harmonically related carrier) or the IRC (incrementally related carrier) anymore. Those were just weird ways of cable broadcast. You could call your cable company and see which carrier type they use... chances are it'll be standard.
