What do I need to have inorder to get digital cable?

I have a Hitachi 51F59 projection tv., it is not digital cable ready. What do I need to do inorder to get a digital signal feed into my TV., also what does "no second tuner for PIP options" mean. Is this a bad thing?

The cable company needs to give you a digital cable box, which will do everything regarding your digital cable. You will pay a monthly bill for the service and the box rental.
get direct tv it's cheaper and you get more channels, also if you are into sports there is way more of them. no second tuner means you cant have picture in picture
Digital cable comes from a cable box and then the signal is sent to the tv from the device. Get a digital cable box and hook it up to your tv or better yet have the cable company install it.
