Hi guys. I recently bought a Phillips 30pw850h37a off Craig's List. It is broken but was only $30 so I figured it was a decent price. After connecting my cable to it, I find out that the audio works fine. I can even make out the picture behind the blue retrace lined screen. So basically this TV is fine besides these blue retrace lines. When you turn on the TV, this happens: (1) It makes a degaussing sound like when you turn on an old PC monitor. (2) Gray retrace lines show up. (3) It flickers rainbow-y and toggled from widescreen to standard and back. (

Answer:
There are a number of possibilities !
First in line is the G2 control for the blue gun needs backing off slightly !
The pic tube could be faulty,
The de coupling electro for the 180v supply to the 3 video amps could be open cct, its a 10mfd 250volt .
All this is guesswork and may be off the mark but there's a couple of ideas to start with. Cheers Pete !
