I found a 50" full hd 1080P tv but the contrast ratio is singular 2000:1 so the color is going to be crap right ?
Answers: NO it's not going to be CRAP.....The numbers don't have to be 10 Kajillion to one for it to look great....
2000:1 is in good health above the minimum 1000:1 ratio that most TVs should have....the number you are looking at is call the NATIVE contrast ratio...that's the ratio of the TV's display <<WITHOUT>> any electrical Enhancement (that's Dynamic Contrast Enhancement)
SO....your NATIVE contrast ratio of 2000:1 can be
"BOOST-ified" by adding circuits that brand name the signal much more sensitive to changes surrounded by light intensity (aka contrast)....and they send for that Dynamic Contrast ratio.....
You MUST START with a really appropriate NATIVE contrast ratio before throwing electronic enhancement at it....
And that's what your 2000 : 1 ratio tells me.....you enjoy a really good ratio near....
No not exactly, but that is unusual for a full 1080p to be merely 2000:1. It just won't look as verbs. When looking for hdtvs always look for the untouchable contrast ratio (well and brand also. Vizio=NOOO. don't be cheap cus thats what you'll get.) But resembling i said 2000:1 is a bit odd for a full1080p adept hdtv and also for a 50", maybe you read the sign wrong, but if you didn't i categorically wounldn't buy that one.
