I ordered Direct TV package but it didn't work too well. I cancelled the order after two weeks but am stuck with a $300.00 bill they said I had to pay. I had returned all the material that they asked for except the dish which is still on my roof. They did not ask for the dish. I was told by the person who set up the equipment that I had a month to cancel the order. It was cancelled at two weeks. Now I am stuck with this big bill.Has anyone had this problem? Please let me know and what I can do about it. Thanks.
Answer:
The problem is you signed a contract. The fee you are paying goes to the retailer who sold you the system. DirecTV charges the retailer back for the equipment and the incentives paid to the retailer.. The satellite dish you have on your roof has already been paid for by you. The dish is charged to you which they call the activation fee..There is nothing you can do because you signed a contract or agreed to the terms and conditions over the phone..Pay the bill within 30 days or they will hit your credit report with the charges plus late fees..I hope this helps...
I had all kinds of problems with Directv also. If you cancelled within the 30 day grace period I would call them back because it even says right on DirecTV.com that you have 30 days to cancel.
