How to burn hdtv.xvid-tcm files to be able to watch on dvd players?

the show that i downloaded writes hdtv.xvid-tcm.avi. when i burn using nero,i chose data dvd. the message on my dvd player read "unsupported format" can anyone tell me which is the correct way to burn using nero so that i am able to watch on a normal dvd. my dvd players support vcd,mp4.dvd

If you are trying to burn a video format a data format will not be supported by your dvd player also make sure when you burn your hi def dvd that it is also played in a hi def dvd player.
