Is 2500:1 resolution really sufficient in a Samsung 42" DLP or am I going to be dissapointed in my picture qua

Answer:
I just bought a Sony SXRD LCD tv with 10,000:1 contrast ratio. With anything less than 5000:1 the picture never shows true black. Having a higher contrast ratio really gives a lot of depth to the picture. Your personal tastes may vary, but I was disappointed with the quality of the lower contrast ratio tv's. It's all a matter of personal taste.
I just bought a Samsung with 3000:1 and I'm very happy with the picture quality.
Well once you look at a Sony, youll think it looks like crap.

I personally would never buy a Samsung due to poor design and quality. Samsung is one of the worst brands.

But Sony always seemes the best.
You should be happy with your Samsung , they ARE good quality too, don`t know what planet Fecomosi is from but where he lives everything is crap except for Sony !
Cheers Pete
