Recommend a 1080p LCD?

Answers: Trust me you want a sony Bravia Engine one. The quality of the picture is flawless. When sony articulate Colour Like No Other they well and truly designed it. It was just when i went into a store to compare adjectives of them (after buying mine) that i realised what they meant. Colours are vivid and sharp, the contrast ratio is excellent and here is no reflection on the blind like the samsung have.
The model you want for your budget (that is also 1080p) is Sony KDL40w2000U. U stands for UK version but even if short, don't worry as it is matching thing. You can gain this online from lb850 onwards. Don't get it surrounded by john lewis you will get ripped sour big time. Forget currys and comet. Online is the place. Look at the links below..

I was researching television for a while before getting mine. I get the sony kdl40w3000. It's one above in the scope and replaces the discontinued w2000. I would recommend this one if your budget could stretch an extra lb300 but if it can't then gain the w2000. Blu-ray is amazing and the connectivity behind is brilliant as all right. My PS3 is stunning too. The w2000 has received brilliant ratings where you look. I will post some links too for you.

There is also another one, but it exceeds your budget.. it is sony kdl40x3500. That one is out of this world. With the W range though you should be more than ok. It is lately one range below the X one.

Remember the tv is singular as good as what signal you nurture it, so standard definition will look rubbish. Do your research fully and you won't go wrong. I haven't!!
ive bought the hot 42 inch sharp aquos and im very pleased near it,had to return the Toshiba 40 inch because i have many probs next to it - no sound sometimes and it get very hot.
