i have a lenovo notebook (model -T60) which only have a vga port . looking for a solution to link it to my hitachi LCD (model - 37LD9800TA) unfortunally only hdmi input. please kindly advise a solution where i can connect by any cable or adapter from my vga only notebook to my hdmi only hitachi LCD .

There is no one cable that will convert your VGA signals (analog) to HDMI (digital). There are, however, converter boxes you can purchase (very expensive) that will convert the analog VGA signals to the digital HDMI signals, where you will also need 1 HDMI cable and a VGA cable. If your laptop had a DVI (digital) port, it would have been easier and cheaper to buy a DVI to HDMI converter/cable.
you can't, VGA is analogic signal and HDMI is digital :(
