It says it's at 480I SD. I also connect a PS2 and the image doesn't change much. Is there a way to get a better image. Or do I just have to get a HDTV Reciever? I called them and Vizio said I need to get component cables. Well any help would be appreciated...
Answer:
You mean Vizio? 480i doesn't look clear on an HD receiver. That's just how it is. So, yes... you need an HD source, whether it's a tuner, Blu-Ray, or HD-DVD. Component cables will not help a 480i source much. If you were using a DVD with 480p, then component cables would help... a little. Either way, there's no comparison between either of those and 720p or 1080i HD through component or HDMI cables. HD is far better. Shoulda bought a Sony, my friend. They come complete with everything you need to plug and go. Plus, they look better on low def sources than most other brands.
