What Brand is dutiful for LCD tvs?

I am looking to buy a 42 in LCD lower than $1500. What brand is the best for it. I was looking at VIEWSONIC and the price is almost $1100.

I know the best to buy is if it has 1080p. BUt which brand?


Answers:    Kim: 1st, 1080p is not a TRUE necessity at 42" You will probably need at most minuscule a 50" screen to really see the difference between that and a 720p/1080i. 2nd, stick to reliable name brand LCDs, similar to Sony, Toshiba, and Panasonic. Stay away from those cheapie, third tier brands you have never hear of before contained by TVs, like ViewSonic (decent computer monitors), and those brands you associate beside cameras and appliances, such as Polaroid, RCA, and Westinghouse. ive get a 50" LG here in the uk and its great-also samsungs look only just as good within the showrooms but I dont know if you get those brands at hand
