Some tv sets have no tuners, any disadvantages?

Answer:
The disadvantage is that you are going to need an external tuner. A 'tv' without a tuner isn't really a 'tv', it's a monitor. If the only source you will be using it for is say watching a dvd, or using it as a large monitor for your PC then it's fine. If you plan on watching tv, you will need an external receiver which you can get integrated into your cable box from the cable company.
If you have a TV that does not have a tuner, then you would have to have an external tuner such as a VCR to select the channel's.
