How to have more channels on my cable TV?

The problem is that I have an old TV, so it's range of frequencies cannot find some stations. Is there an external device that could help?

Answer:
Call your cable company, you need one of their set top boxes..
Beware though, there is an additional monthly fee for it.
Don't go to the cable company to rent a box. Go to radio shack or some where like that and ask for a converter box. The converter box will hook up to your TV. You then turn your TV on 3 or 4. Then you can channel surf with the remote that comes with the converter box. One more idea would be if you have a VCR. Turn your TV on 3 or 4 then turn on your VCR. You then want to hit the menu button on the remote to your VCR and select the option of Channel setup.. All VCRs are different but its in there some where..You then want to make sure that the mode in your VCR is set to CABLE and not ANTENNA. The final step is to select the AUTO PROGRAM option in the VCR to program you channels..That's it your done..No need to go to Radio Shack to buy a converter box if you already have a VCR..I hope this helps..
