When is a apt time to buy a untried HD TV?

My Husband and I are looking, but not sure about when and what type would be better. He desires to hang it on the wall, I'm not so sure- we are contained by earthquake land.

I'm pretty sure you're not needing brand modern tech so last years models would join the needs you hold. I'd suggest waiting until late February or impulsive March which is when last years models will be put on a fire public sale. Don't verbs about the TV one wall mounted, you'll lose the wall before you lose the TV set....they are powerfully secured on the wall mount....
