Combo TV-VHS-DVD player constantly skips on DVDs, no event how unsullied or elderly -- how do I fix this?

It's a Sansui, and I've already tried the little cleaning disc thing you put surrounded by the DVD player, the one that has a bit brush on it for cleaning the lens. This is getting ridiculous. What if I just sprayed a bunch of Windex contained by the slot and hoped for the best?

Answers:    You may be best off replacing the element. Low-end consumer electronics just aren't usually worth trying to repair.

Avoid combined unit like this within the future, especially for your primary entertainment system. The manufacturer of these types of systems almost always cut costs by using inferior parts.

Also, buying from a reputable but moderately priced factory owner like Panasonic, Sony, or Toshiba, might give the impression of being a little expensive at first; but it's usually worth it contained by the long-run, and all three of these companies engineer fine low-end models.

tv tech man, I'm pretty sure he was playing around about the Windex. lol
Go to an electronics store close to Best Buy and get some disc fixer cream. Ask the salespeople.
