My Rogers Cable TV has a black box on it?

We live in Ontario and have Rogers Digitial Cable. After a while a black box appears in the lower middle half of our screen. It goes away if we change the tv to dvd or turn off the cable for a minute. Why does this happen and what can I do to make it stop. The TV is brand new and this doesn't happen when we are watching DVD's only Cable?

Answer:
You may enable Picture-in-Picture function. But because you have only one source, the second window will be black. Check you remoter or the box if having PIP functioin, turn it off or keep it and enjoy PIP. The alternative way is to call Rogers Service to figure it out.
sound like a problem with the cable box call and see if they can repair it
go into the tv menu or look on your remote you have the closed caption option on look for cc or cap on the remote if it is not on the remote ck the menu and make sure caption is off
