TV clicks ON, afterwards, in half a shake, clicks final rotten .........?

when I turn on the power. I took it apart and I can hear and feel that click within this cylinder that is close to a white plastic spool with copper line wound around it that is attached to the circuit board. any suggestions ? is a JVC brand tv, year 1997


Answers:    Your dash amp transistor is most likely shorted. The inductor you describe is probably surrounded by the line sweep part of a set of the set but will not itself be faulty. This is not generally a job for the untrained but should not be terribly expensive !!should only be a routine chore for a TV Tech. Without seeing the set myself it is near impossible to provide more help near this one .

Sounds like its your power supply.

Its probably cheaper to receive a new one than to take it fixed.
