Why does the picture on my new sanyo plasma hdtv flicker only when hooked up with an hdmi cord?

It works fine with component.

Answer:
Because HDMI has been the "Suck suck Suckiest" NEW BUG on TV sets.MOST if not ALL HDMI connections have been doing things like...

The picture turns Green, rolls, flickers, freezes, develops noise in the BLACK areas.just to name a few.UNPLUG IT, and use the COMPONENT jacks if you have SPARES.They provide Hi Def at the same Signal quality..

If you're running short on COMPONENT connects..MOVE your GAME to HDMI..

We suspect the Copyright protection Coding is scrambling the picture and GAMES don't use it..
Who wants to RECORD a game, and who wants to RECORD a DVD or a Cable/Satellite show??

There's no FIX right now.but it may be corrected with HDMI Version 2..
Something wrong with your HDMI receiver inside the unit. Please call Sanyo service center to fix this.
Usually they just need to change the board and will be done in the minute.
