If all DVD's are formatted to fit my screen, what if your TV is a different size?

Answer:
if it has different comparison for ex your DVD are formatted for 4:3 than it will have blank space (in left and right) if you playback in 16:9 TV. But 16:9 TV usually has several displaying mode like Full, wide, zoom etc, that fill stretch the image to fit the screen.
Only NON-Widescreen DVDs (4:3) are formatted to fit the screen and usually they fit all standard-definition (4:3) screens.
