The receiver box with the plasma tv went off and will not come back on?

Answer:
faulty box if you mean power.
check obvious if its signals.i.e.cables/plugs e.t.c.
also unplugging and reconnecting box from mains will reboot if nothing else amiss. changing channel too quickly can cause this on digital.

Did you UNPLUG THE RECIEVER BOX FOR 5 MINUTES?

That should RESTART your reciever..
