Is "Triple Play" by Comcast worth changing over for?
Answer:
Not if you read the fine print...
The $99/month deal isn't permanent, it lasts for one year and then goes to the regular rates.
I'll be looking at Verizon TV when they introduce it into Fort Wayne. It'll be phone, Fios internet, and TV packaged together..
Fios outputs 5 meg 10 meg and 15 megabits which easily beats Comcast's internet, unlimited long distance sounds good, and hopefully V-TV will bring up NEW Networks as fast as Dish Network does..
That's the benefit of Dish is that new network stations come online as soon as they are available..that's why I'm staying with them until I compare Verizon TV with it.
Comcast took 9 months to get new networks available...
Not really it is good for cheaper phone cost but calbe programing sucks and the internet is not all that fast against other high speed isp's
No.
It's all a matter if you are too lazy to pay your bills. The only real value of a Cable company offering a triple account: Phone, Data Line, TV - is that it consolidates your monthly bills to one source.
This offering is saving the Cable industry, btw. It's ultra profitable.
I'd recommend going piece-meal. Get DirecTV or Dish. Get an alternative DSL carrier in your area. And use your cellphone for calls...or find a generic national carrier on your DSL line(VoIP).
That's a much better way to go.
Cable is evil. The only thing good about Comcast is that they don't require a 1 year contract.
