Why wont my HDMI hookup work?

Hi! Normally, the problems occurring in an hdmi interface, is that, A: you don't have the right cord{s}, or #2: the installation was not completed correctly, or C:the problem lies in the tv/dvd/vcr/tunerhookups. If the problem is not in one of these areas, then it is probably in the SETUP programs on these units. My best professional guess would be that it is in the set-up programs on your TV and the peripherials going to it.

I know that for some receivers with some Flat screens (that also have the DVI connecting capability )the processing of information doesn't work if you use the HDMI cable. Those people have to use the DVi cable instead with audio. I
FYI As a Repair shop, Samsung and Phillips is one of the worst brands.
Id take it back if I were you can get a Sony.

in the samsung press source key on the remote
scroll thru listings and you should see hdmi 1, hdmi 2, etc choose the one that is active
you probably have it set on the wrong source (s-video or component, etc) ps dont listen to that repair guy
