I have a Philips Magnavox projection TV that has a very dark picture?

The colors are mainly green and red and can not be adjusted with the remote menu. What is the problem?

Answer:
Does the blue look foggy? If so, the coolant needs replacement, and this isn't a job for customers.loosen the wrong bolt at the wrong time and and you end up with coolant spilled all over the main power/deflection board.

Also, does the Picture have a greenish fog look to it?
I have seen the coolant get foggy on that one also. But never the red.

YOU would be surprised how changing the coolant will restore the picture like it just came from the factory.
You may have to contact there tech area so that they may tell you what to do to fix it. If you have not had it long they may even beable to have it serviced to fix for you with out any money out. other than that i am not sure why it is doing that. If you have HD coming in your home and not on the tv it can do that.
check this page maybe you will find your problem...
