Stop annoying noise on plasma TV??

On my Samsung 42" plasma TV, there is a high pitched noise that you can hear when watching TV, even when the TV is muted. How do I get rid of this annoying noise?

Answer:
One of the coils in your power supply is vibrating and the ferrite core is making that sound. You can try super gluing the coil windings to the core, or using Silicone RTV on the core to stop it from moving.

To find which one is the offender, take a piece of paper, shape it into a cone for your ear and listen to the sound..as you PASS OVER the noisy coil it will become louder and you will have isolated the offender. NOW, touch it with your finger and it should stop ringing. There you go.silicone that sucker!
It's normal for a Samsung, unfortunately. It's the plasma drawing power to project particularly bright images. If it gets louder during brighter scenes, it's normal. If not, I'd suggest having a technician look at it.
