I need an advice in purchasing a new tv.?

Okay so I saw some tv's on sale and well they all look nice like I have movies in widescreen format do I have to get a widescreen tv? or any television supports that format?

Answer:
ALL TV's are now widescreen, and will handle your widescreen DVDs very nicely.the square TVs are only in the smallest sizes and they are Low Definition TVS.

Heck you can buy a Hitachi 51 inch Projection TV for $900 and get True 1080i.The high technology stuff drops down into the lesser priced TVs after a few years.
I suspect all new tv's will support wide screen format..but if you buy a small tele.then the image will be small and darker
