My Color Television now only displays in Black and White. Why?
Answer:
Could be a number of things. The subcarrier regenerator reference oscillator could be defective. A coupling capacitor could have opened up. The comb filter could have problems, etc. etc. Nothing you did is likely to have caused this. just routine part failure of some sort, more than likely. Probably time for a new one. Repair could run between $100.00 to 200.00, or so.
its getting old, or cheak the color, buy a new one
I'm not precisely sure, but the TV set might just be dying and you should get a new one, especially if the cords and cables are plugged in perfectly.
If it is new enough to have a circuit board it needs replaced. Otherwise the color tube would need replaced. So, you need a repair person or a new TV. Color is shot. Color and sound is on separate circuits.
The chroma signal went missing. yes this the color signal you need to trace it down first check the Chroma input in the Y/C jungle IC check if it were there I got the filling it wasn't there so need to trace back alittle until you find where it is missing. You need oscilloscope to trace the signal.
But before you do all this thing, I must warn you this is live test the unit is on and very dangerous, if you're not sure call someone expert.
