How long does it take for a picture to burn in the tv.?
Answer:
In my experience, it takes at least an hour before any noticeable damage occurs. If you want to keep phosphor burn to a minimum, lower your brightness and contrast (picture) settings to 50% or less. The lower the settings, the longer it will take to burn the phosphors. As long as you don't have a steady bright image in one spot for too long, you should be fine.
It would have to take a really long time. probally have the score board sit there for like 15 hours a day. and doing that for like a month it'll be there than. Only reason i come up with that is because at my work we play a video and it's played from the time we open till we close (7 am-10 pm) and it's played for a month or so. and than we switch them out. well lol every time we switch them. Whatever was on the video is stuck on the t.v screen hope this helped.
It really depend on the image it display.
If it's bright and sharp it only takes minute.
For example if you displaying white bright single line for aminute than change to other channel you will still be able to see that line but of course it's going to disappeared soon.
I bet if you do that longer you'll have your CRT phosphor burn.
It's different case if the image not sharp and bright like channel logo for example it's very rare it will burn in the CRT.
I think you shouldn't worry to much since this is CRT projection TV.
Diferent case if you have plasma.
