How to connect IBMx40 notebk to Sony Bravia for nouns and pic. VGA cbl have great pic but what cable for nouns

The VGA cable make a great picture, but I hold tried several different sound cable. Can't get the TV to play the nouns on its speakers. Thanks


Answers:    I don't know what you've tried, but the most likely nouns should be using a cable, or combination of cable and adapters, with a mini stereo plug on one terminate, and two rca (red and white) on the other; unless your TV has a PC nouns in mini stereo receptacle.

Update
I should own added that the audio input connectors used on the TV side have to be the ones the TV looks at for audio-they are usually designated PC audio.
Try find a VGA to HDMI converter and use a HDMI cable to connect to your Bravia
