Tv to laptop?

When i connect it to my laptop and tv, nothing happens. The TV just stays normal, i dont see the image that is on the laptop...

turn your laptop off and tv then connect the s video to the laptop to the tv then turn your laptop on and tv and it should work. be sure you change the channel on the tv to the s video channel (tv/video).
it depends on your laptop. You have to go to control panel -> display and change the monitor setting.
Of course, your laptop has to have the display driver that can go to TV first.
Until i got my lcd with a VGA input i had to do this for a long time using a s-video cable with my old crt tv...what you need to do is once you have both them connected together you have to go on your desktop and right click, go into graphics options and you will see an output to menu.go into the output to and just click on output to televison.only problem with this way is that your laptop screen will go black and in order to put it back to the notebook you have to do the same process but instead click output to notebook.if your laptop has the right type of graphics chips you can do an intel dual display clone and that way you will see it on your laptop and tv...just follow the same process, right click-->output to--> intel dual display clone and then choose television + notebook and then enjoy your videos.definition will not be as good as your notebook monitor.svideo cables can only support 800x600 resolution but it is still plenty watchable...
