Clarity with size?

Is it true to say that an lcd 32" would have better picture quality than an a 40" if they had the same pixels as the 32" would have to cram them all in a smaller space?.

Answer:
It's all about the " viewing distance " from the tv.

Most people with a 40" are further away then someone with a 32". Therefore the picture quality is considered to be the same.

Unless you had a 40" and was 5foot away then you what notice it, but the headaches etc would kick in first.

Hope this helps wg
Never try and cram too many inches into a small space. I got a slap for that once.
Yes it is true. on the 40" screen you would notice a slight blockiness to the picture as compared to the 32 inch. but the difference between the two set would be small. but if you compared that 32" set to a 51" set the difference would be more noticeable. this is what happened to me when i bought my first 51" set and i did not get a high def content i was stuck watching standard def programming that looked terrible on my new set in comparison to the 32" set i was replacing.
yes it is true that a smaller tv will have the better resolution. Generally the larger sets are designed for veiwing at a greater distance to help compensate for the resolution loss.
