Flat screen tv's how to put on wall with out showing wires (HELP)?
Answer:
You have to either run the wires through the wall down from the attic or behind a piece of furniture. That's the only way you can do it.
we have just done this with ours...we had to make an incision in the wall and slot the wire in then plaster and repaint over it. or you could try putting a shelf next to the TV to put your DVD player, sky box... onto and hiding the wire behind it(which is what i would of done) but my partner insisted on doing the first one..because he is king of the TV (apparently!)
Cut a hole in the wall, just right so you can fit the cords in there. Cut a norther hole by the plug in, then plug it in. or you can paint the wires so that it blends with the wall.
I used one of these http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.
to create a channel down the wall, then filled, sanded, refilled, wet and dried it, then re-painted the wall, took a while but you cant see the wires at all.
Use a hammer, easiest way put hole behind where the tv is hanging... then put hole a couple feet under that close to the base molding, than hide with whatever your putting your sat or cable box and dvd on.
You can buy plastic cable-covers from d.i.y./electrical shops. For camouflage, cover with spare wallpaper, or something similar.
On a plain wall:
1. Hole behind via another room or wall cavity
2. Channel in plaster
3. Boxed wooden channel, painted wall colour
4. Plastic channel
5. Shelf 2 inches underneath with 2 inch high piece of wood on top to hide cables behind (as mine over a fireplace).
