Why is there a USB port on the IO cablevision box?

WHY IS IT THERE? What can I do with it?

Answer:
I don't know about your box, but some Cable and Satellite box/DVRs have the ability to transfer stored programs onto a portable viewing device and use this USB port to do so. Why don't you call your cable company and see what's up? We would all love to know.
nothing unless they enable it. which they dont do. i have firewire on my explorer 8300hd and i could get my laptop to find the drivers but couldnt do anything past that. i was trying to copy what i had on the dvr.
