Television Problem?

Well im in quite a dilema and im a bit stressed out. I bought a television about 3 months ago and i have it in my room. I have this really old cable that connects to the tv so i can watch it. The problem is that the cable has a fuzzy picture. You can see lines when your watching tv. I cant replace it becuase it would be to much work. How would i be able to get the cable to show a better picture quality. Its not the tv either becuase i got my ps3 hooked up to it and it looks fine.

Answer:
Didn`t you read the question HEINZ ? He has his PlayStation 3 hook ed up to the TV and the TV is FINE !! Contact the cable company and they are obliged to fix it !!
call your cable company and tell them you have poor reception and they should come and fix it for free. My Cable company ran all new cable for my house when we moved in for the same reason. way better reception
If the cable works fine with the PS3, then it IS your TV that has the problem. With the cable bad, the picture would be just as bad on any other display.
