Lcd would be the better tv to get.
almost not any glare unlike plasma.
plasmas scowl like crazy the blind is glass so if theres a pane behind your tv later your stuck with a look hard.
Lcd are great with games if you own a xbox 360 or playstaion 3 they work great with them.
my grandfather have a 60 inch plasma tv and well its lofty definition but you can barly see it during the day because he have a big window at the back it so if you want no glare Lcd is the track to go.
i own a 32 inch westinghouse Lcd tv looks great and works great i have an xbox 360 and the graphics are amazing.(works great beside halo 3)

make sure its get 120 mhz because that reduceses the blurry picture
sonys also have nice pictures.

Since you're concerned roughly "motion blur" - you may as well buy the unsullied LCD HD TVs that has the 120MHz animate rate. They're now available at a steep price ;)
