Will my LCD TV develop more dead pixels over time?

I just got a new LCD TV. It's got dead pixels. I plan on returning it, but I wanted to know if I buy a new model of the SAME TV and it DOESN'T HAVE DEAD PIXELS at FIRST, will they eventually come because of the TV brand or do dead pixels only happen during manufacturing?

Answer:
Pixels actually come from a mesh screen inside the T.V. Most of the time dead Pixels come from a damaged screen, a small piece of trash, hair, or even dust can cause pixel damage. If you have a T.V. that does not have pixel damage the odds of it getting dead pixels over a course of time is unlikely. Once the screen is assembled the mesh is in-closed and will never be opened again. Repair work will not even effect the pixels. That damage can only come from unclean parts in the factory.
Picture quality and sharpness are more common factors to the life expectancy of a T.V. Most of the time ( if you are in the store looking for a T.V.) try finding the best picture. On a side note if you are looking at buying something such as LCD. I would recommend a DLP or a DLE T.V. and I would purchase it from a electronics store and not a department store. Department store chains have deals with companies such as RCA, Emerson, Sanyo ect... These companies have production lines set up to run products just for these stores and quality is not as fine detailed because the department stores order so many at a time the factory cannot pay attention to every detail of the television and some things are shipped that shouldn't be shipped. Ever seen the returns at wal-mart after Christmas?
I know this for fact because I've worked in a T.V. manufacturing plant before and do Television repair as well.
It is possible for dead pixel to appear later on, but that is very rare. Dead pixels are much less of a problem than they used to be, so you should be able to get a perfect set. If you do, the chances are that it will remain that way.
