Plasma Problems-Sound but no Picture?

Just got my Plasma TV up and running but one problem:

After the TV has been turned on for 5 mins the picture quits but the sound remains. Can't figure out the problem. When disconnected it can show a blue screen suggesting it isn't a faulty screen.

Q1) Does anyone know how to restore the factory settings?

Q2) Does anyone know how I might sort the problem without calling on the repairman?

Answer:
either the scart has come loose if you are watching from an additional source ( eg .digibox, freeview), if not the sperakers have been turned off in the menu !
maybe its rubbish and thats why is was so cheap.

just phone up and get it replaced
Sound..you have a separate amp?

Skybox? With Skybox you could be losing ONLY the video from the box..TV would be ok, not the box...

Freeview? No Picture would mean a "Separated tuner" and the Picture process is bad in the tuner. That just doesn't seem to set right with me..
I wonder if you're using Channel 3 or 4..

IT REALLY just sounds like the Video cable is loose from a box to the TV.that fits your symptoms best.
You should try with the aerial plugged directly into the TV with no SCART connections. I see that this set has no Freeview, so we can forget about that. The picture disappearing, but with some sound, suggests a weak signal. If you are sure that the aerial and plug connections are good and there is a firm fit in the socket, I would call in Richer Sounds.

With SCART plugged in, there is a possibility of interference and feedback where a SCART signal switches the TV to a different mode. I had this on my Panasonic plasma TV with SCART Sky to TV, Sky to recorder, recorder to TV. I removed the Sky to recorder cable and all was well. In the rare event of recording from Sky, I can use the aerial signal. I might also be using the wrong selection of TV SCART sockets.

My TV is wall mounted on a tilting bracket. Changing the tilt can cause the SCART plugs to tilt in the socket and lose sound or picture. A little wiggle fixes that (I know that I should really switch off to reconnect SCART). This problem is mainly due to using thick, less flexible, high quality cables and the TV having vertical sockets.
this sounds like video processing fault. in which case the appropiate module will have to be replaced.
