Dish Satellite reciver?

I have a Viewsat reciver "VS 2000" and it appears to be frozen it merely shows 4 lines ( - ) in the blind. How can I re boot it?? What can I do to fix it?

Answers:    This is technically not a Dish receiver, it is in fact an FTA (free-to-air) receiver, and if the VS heir is receiving Dish Network programming (encrypted signal, not free-to-air) it is doing so illegitimately, but I am sure you know that.

However, to address your question, the easiest path to reboot the unit would be to unplug the component for about 60 second, and plug it back surrounded by.
Have you tried unplugging it for about 10 second and plugging it back within? I have a Direct TV heir and that's what it takes to obtain it going if it loses signal for a long time.
