How do I record with satellite?

I have DirecTV. How do set up inputs and outputs between the TV, VCR and satellite receiver to record a tv show?

Answer:
You have the cable from the wall lead in to the Directv reciever, you have the cable from the Directv "output" lead to the VCR "input", and finally you have the cable from the VCR "output" lead to the TV "input". This will decipher the satellite signal into a audio/video signal via the reciever, and then send the signal through the VCR (so that the tape can record it) and to your television (so that you can view it).

Wall-->reciever-->VCR-->TV
well..im not sure how to do that..but the easy way is to get a DVR on your direct tv reciever..so you can record whatever you want right off of the reciever..and you can watch them over and over again..its cool..i have one myself
