I want to show whats on my laptop on my HD TV? I have the cord?

Yes I have the cord connected to my laptop and my HD TV and I have tried the following TV Videos: Component1, Component 2, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Video 1, Video 2, and Video 3. I also have a TV one and tried that with my Comcast Cable box off. So what am I doinng wrong so it won't work?

Answer:
Try pessing the 'Fn' key slong with the 'F3' key (there should be a picture of a screen or something on the key) if not, check the other F# keys. this may tell the laptop you are connecting to an external monitor. i think this will work if you are using the s-video connection.
sounds like your laptop is hooked up to the tv ok - which cable are you using ? vga ? s-video ?

if your using s-video you might have to tell your laptop that you have an external tv and turn the dignal on.
check the video properties on your laptop
if you give the make.model of your laptop and the cable that you are using in here it might help give a better answer
