Which of the popular TV.brands give the best sound quality?

Answer:
Ummm. the best sound quality cannot be gained by a TV of any brand. What you need is a digital audio system with Dolby Digital 5.1. Then, you should selct a TV that either has an Optical or Coaxial audio output.
I'm reliabably informed that if you're buying a TV 32" or above then Panasonic is the way forward.
Sony and Panasonic. You can always achieve great sound quality regardless of the brand if you have a good surround sound system and speakers. Bose speakers have excellent sound.

As for sound reproduction, that's quite technical. I wouldn't be able to help you with that without a lab. I would stick to the tried and true brands that I mentioned above though.
SQNY is really bad! Try SONY instead!
I've heared Pioneer is swell too.
Toshiba has an option subwoofer that attaches to the back of their LCDs, making the sound quality *amazing*. Otherwise... probably Panasonic. Stay away from Samsung, unless you're planning on buying a home cinema system. Samsungs are nice TVs, but they really *need* an external sound system.
sony,panasonic.
look for audio output data on paperwork.
this may be in rms. you want the highest figure.make comparisons.
