i recently got a ps3 and i don't want to play on the plasma hdtv's downstairs or in my parents room so my father is going to buy me a 42 in samsung hp s4253 for around 1300 usd, i was wondering if this was a good deal and if there was another tv around similair price for better? the resolution is 720p native but can also support 1080i.

Samsung makes junk tvs. Lots of problems. Id go for a panasonic. or a Toshiba Plasma.
