I know this question has been asked many times, but here it is again. Looking at the Vizio Gallevia GV42LHDTV (ranked 10/11 in Cons. Rep) and the Olevia 542i (ranked 6 and best buy in Cons. Report). Anyone have any experience with these units? Either company getting better in quality over time? Have heard lots of not so flattering comments about the Vizio.

I have had the GV42HDTV from Vizio since Christmas (Dec. 2006)
I am happy with the TV -- works great. Have not had any issues with it. A minor one is the remote control -- it feels like the IR range/direction could be better. But again, I try to use it from 20 feet --- distance from my couch to the TV so that could have something to do with the sensitivity. Overall I like the TV
